Verse 1
Our beloved ones have arrived; the breeze, oh wind of my country, has come.
Tallou hababna, tallou nassam ya hawa biladi

Among our lands, they blossomed, and the valley’s flowers smiled.
Bayn rubu’ana hallaw wa dahikat zahraat al-wadi

And with the airs, we sang, and with the harmonies, we united.
Wa bil-fiyaat ghannayna wa ‘alamiyyat itlaqeena

And on our branches, they blossomed, and the melodious bird reminded us.
Wa ‘ala al-aghsaana hallaw wa yinsana al-tayr al-shaadi

And we are tales in our minds, from us come flowing melodies.
Wa nahnu hikayat fi balah, minna naghmāt mawwāla

And we are tales in our minds, from us come flowing melodies.
Wa nahnu hikayat fi balah, minna naghmāt mawwāla

And when the breezes danced between the forests, calling out.
Wa lamma al-nasamaat tahalla bayn al-ghabaat baynadi

And when the breezes danced between the forests, calling out.
Wa lamma al-nasamaat tahalla bayn al-ghabaat baynadi

Over our dark mountains, dawn has come to speak to us.
Fawq jabalna al-samra, tall al-fajr yuhakina

And amidst our green meadows, the roses began calling us.
Wa bayn maroujna al-khudra, saar al-ward yunadina

And the birds on the railings narrate the news of the paths of the eye.
Wa al-atyaar ‘al al-meeleen tarwi khabar droub al-‘ain

Over our dark mountains, dawn has come to speak to us.
Fawq jabalna al-samra, tall al-fajr yuhakina

And we, from afar, dedicate to him the tale of a new love.
Wa nahnu min ba’id nahdeeluh ‘an hubb jadeed nahkeeluh

And we, from afar, dedicate to him—and about a new love, we tell him.
Wa nahnu min ba’id nahdeeluh wa ‘an hubb jadeed nahkeeluh

And on the dark gatherings, we bestow upon him; from the wine of the feast, he gives us drink.
Wa ‘al al-samr al-ghaydh numeeluh min khamr al-‘eid yasqeenah

And on the dark gatherings, we bestow upon him; from the wine of the feast, he gives us drink.
Al-samr al-ghaydh numeeluh, min khamr al-‘eid yasqeenah
