Song Lyrics:

Yana Yana
Yana Yana

Yana Yana
Yana Yana

In my beloved, I die; I die in my beloved
Bihabibi amut ana, amut ana bihabibi

And I die in my flame, in my torment, and my beloved is unaware
Wa amut ana bilahibi, bi’azabi, wa habibi madaraybi

For his sake, I die
Alashanoh amut ana

Yana Yana, oh, you tire me; Yana Yana, oh, you leave me
Yana Yana ya ta’bani, Yana Yana ya sayibni

With torment, it appears on me, and the sleepless nights entertain themselves with me
Bil’azab yazhar alayya, wa al-sahar yatasalla biya

If you’re truly unaware of me, why do you turn towards me?
Law sahih mish dari biya, leih btetlafet alayya

Why do you escape from my eyes?
Leih btehrob min anaya

And I die in my beloved
Wa amut ana bihabibi

Whether you go east or west, no matter how far you go, you’ll come closer
Law tishriq aw tighrib, mahma tibhid rah tiqrab

You’ll experience my fire; oh beautiful, you make it hard for me
Rah tjarrab nari biya, ya jamil, tis’ab alayya

If you make the ice boil, you’ll scream from it before me
Law tkhalli al-talj yaghli, rah tasrukh minha qabli

And what will save you are my eyes; oh beautiful, you make it hard for me

You’re afraid my eyelashes will hurt you; they don’t hurt
Inta khayif min rumushi yijrahuk, ma yijrahushi

They’re your loved ones, my darling
Doul habaybak ya habibi

Or are you afraid my love will take you to a sea where you’ll drown alone
Wala khayif hubbi yakhudak bahr tighraq fih lawahdak

No, I’m with you, my darling
La dana ma’ak ya habibi

Or should I tell you, fine, I love you; whether you like it or not, you’ll love
Wala aqoullak tab bahibbak, ghasb ‘annak rah tahibb

What’s your fault? Your fault is my love
Zanbak eh? Zanbak bahibbak

Is love a sin after all?
Huwa ba’d al-hubb zanbak

For his sake, I die
Alashanoh amut ana
